Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk

The Alzheimer's Association is sponsoring a Nationwide Memory Walk to help raise awareness and money. If you've ever known someone with Alzheimer's Disease, you know what a sad thing it can be. My wife's grandma has Alzheimer's Disease and she can't even remember who my wife is-it breaks her heart. The good thing is there is a terrific way to help the Alzheimer's Association and people who suffer from this disease!

This fall, all across the USA, groups of people will do the Memory Walk. The key to a successful Memory Walk is participation. They need TEAM CAPTAINS NOW! As a team captain, you would get a group together and get pledges for the Memory Walk. Its a great thing to do with a group from work, your family, your class or your team. This is the Alzheimer's Association's biggest fund raiser and they've raised over $200 million since 1989.

As with anything that is worthwhile, there is a bit of work involved. The Team Captain needs to find a nearby walk and register their group. Captains also need to be organized, set some fund raising goals for their team, recruit team members and handle all the paperwork. There is a special set of instructions for folks who want to start a corporate team. It is important that Team Captains get started as early as possible so their team has the best chance to raise a lot of money to help fight this tragic disease.

I think anytime you can give your time to help a worthwhile cause, its got to be good!
