Hotdogman on TV (Finally)

Last spring, Bob Wilson from the TV show Roadside Stories visited with me. I documented his visit with this post. All summer I waited to hear when the show would air and he FINALLY called me last week.

The show is going to air December 29! Check your local TV listings!

Roadside Stories Update

Last Friday Bob Wilson and the Roadside Stories crew spent the afternoon at the Hot Dog Truck.

Bob, the show's host, chatted up the customers and came in the truck and served up some dogs. He had a little trouble with the grilled buns and his chili dogs were a bit sloppy (even by my standards) but he did OK for a rookie.

He met a few customers he's going to visit with as well. He hopes to do a roof with the Roof Doctor and some pool repairs with the semi famous Jeff from Horizon Technologies. It will be interesting to see how the show turns out. It should air in August and I will post the entire episode on this site when it is completed.

Thanks Bob, it was lots of fun having you come by, I'm looking forward to the show!

The Hotdogman on TV!!!

So I get the clutch in this morning and roll over to the spot. I get all set up and just when it's time to open, I run out of propane. I knew I was low, but I thought I had enough for the day.

When I went to fill her up, the rain caused the valve to jam open.

I am snake bit this week. There was some good news however:

This morning I got a call from Bob Wilson. He produces a show that airs on PBS called Roadside Stories.

Basically Bob travels around New England and visits roadside attractions and hangs out and interviews the folks. Well next Friday, June 13th Bob and his crew are going to be at the Hot Dog Truck!

If you love hot dogs and want to be on TV, COME ON DOWN!
