The Glitch

Visitors to the Hot Dog Truck couldn't get Chili Dogs all week. I ran out of chili on Monday.

Normally that's not a problem since I get my food delivery on Tuesdays.

For 4 1/2 years I have been ordering from the same wholesaler. They always did all their orders and packing by hand. Orders were written up on old school "triplicate form" sheets which I signed when I paid. They never missed a delivery in 4 1/2 years.

Last week, they got into the '90's by computerizing their ordering system.

Result: they lost my order!

Remember: "to err is human, to really foul things up, you need a computer!"

Screen Cleaner

You know how you get dust and dirt on your flat computer screen or laptop screen? I have been searching for ways to get it off safely and easily. I have used eyeglass cleaning pads , paper towels, even "special" computer screen cleaning wipes.

I am always on the hunt for something better, so I did some searching today and found a number of screen cleaners. You can find a good one HERE.

Saving Money with Online Coupons

I am writing this post from my Dell Computer. I HAD three Dells, but I'm down to two. My laptop's screen burnt out, so I'm in the market for a new computer. I managed to save the hard drive from the laptop, so I didn't lose any data. I also have a 20 Gig external hard drive now!

I decided to beef up our desktop with more memory, so I went to the Dell website and ordered it up just after Christmas. Whenever I order from Dell, I scout around for Dell Coupons online. When you checkout, you simply add a coupon code and receive an additional discount. It's a great way to save a few bucks for something you'll buy anyway.

There are lots of places to get Dell Coupons online, but CouponJelly.com is one of the better ones. They almost always have Dell Coupons when other sites don't.

CouponJelly.com has coupons for lots of other online vendors too including Best Buy, Staples, the Gap, and many more.

I have made it a habit to look for online coupons BEFORE I shop online. If I need a new cell phone, I'll look for cell phone coupons and shop the store with the best deal.

Being a savvy consumer has become a lot easier in the internet age. Coupon clipping used to mean scouring newspapers and magazines, clipping the coupons and filing them. Then you had to remember to use them. Now you get an instant coupon for something you need with a few clicks.

I'll be sure to check CouponJelly.com for Dell Coupons in the coming weeks. When I see a good deal, I'll pounce!

Computer Guy to Go

Everyone needs a "computer guy." He's the friend who knows all about home networking and computer troubleshooting. Many companies employ at least one computer guy to keep their computer network running smoothly and to conduct routine computer troubleshooting.

If you have a problem and you have no computer guy friend or your business is too small to justify a full time computer guy, then where do you turn?

Fast-Teks are the computer guys who come to you. They'll come to your home or office for all your computer troubleshooting needs at a reasonable price. They can even offer preventative maintenance, call in diagnostics and computer training.

Le Dell

I am writing this post on a Dell Desktop Computer. I also have a Dell Laptop. There is a Dell (running Windows 98) in one of the kid's rooms. I even own Dell stock! We like Dell Computers in our house.

I don't know what a bureau pc is-something they call desktops in France I think, but if it's a Dell, it's probably OK.

I have always had good luck with Dell Computers-that's why I keep buying them. I like the way you can set them up. I have always customized my Dells to have the features I want. I even have them send the computers along with only the software I want on them. I don't WANT Corel word processing, so why would I want it pre-installed on my computer?

Dell also has decent service. I have a Dell certified repair shop near my home, so when I need a repair I just bring it over there. That's much easier than shipping everything off to some faceless repair center!

So if you're looking for a new desktop computer, try a Dell. My stock portfolio will thank you!
