Fancy Dress Costumes

Well now that Christmas is over, it's time to start thinking about HALLOWEEN!! Forget Valentine's Day and Easter; next to Christmas, Halloween is the most fun "holiday."

Remember last year when you had a lame, home made costume-maybe a tin foil martian cap or something equally stupid. Wouldn't it be nice to have a really cool costume this year?
What about a fancy dress Darth Vader costume? Or a storm trooper? How cool would that be? There are TONS of Star Wars costumes at Jokers' Masquerade. I'm not talking cheapo costumes here, I'm talking about Star Wars fancy dress costumes for adults. No kid stuff here. They have lots of costumes to choose from,
in fact, they have over 10,000 costumes IN STOCK! And they're having a HUGE JANUARY SALE.

Of course they have all the other characters from Star Wars in their Star Wars costume collection from Anakin Skywalker to Yoda and everything in between. They also have other stuff like a Barney and Betty Rubble "couples costume" and your old stand by's like the devil or Frankenstein. You can also get a Santa Suit (marked down) for next Christmas.

Maybe you should take some of your Christmas money and grab a bargain while the prices are low, then you'd be prepared for next Halloween to go to that fancy dress costume party in style.

Halloween Anecdote

One Halloween when my two oldest were 3 and 4 respectively, I was taking them around the neighborhood for trick or treating. Our neighborhood is a kid's Halloween Nirvana. It's a warren of dead end streets so there's very little vehicle traffic, there are many families so there's lots of kid friendly homes, and the people hand out TONS of candy.

That night, we'd made our way around the neighborhood and were working our way back home. The kids candy baskets were full to the brim. We stopped at a house three doors down from ours where a young couple had just moved in.

As we walked up to the house, we noticed they were sitting out on their stairs. They stood up and the woman, in a syrupy voice, said, "hi kids. Since it looks like you already have lots of treats. We'd like you to do your best trick for us and then we'll give you our treat!"

"Huh?" said the four year old.

"We'd like you to do a trick, then you can have your choice of treats!" she said as she showed a large bowl full of snack sized Snickers Bars.

The three year old looked at her, then down at his full sack of candy, then at his older sister.

"C'mon Steph!" he said as he marched off towards home.

His dumbfounded older sister meekly followed and I, stifling a chuckle, said thanks to the young couple and followed my children home.

My Halloween Costume

Every year my kids obsess about their Halloween Costumes. So does my wife. I always wear the same costume: a nun. Picture a six foot tall, two hundred pound nun- pretty scary. I stuff a big pair of boobs under the nun costume so I look like a real train wreck! I've been wearing the same costume for ten years now and it has become sort of a twisted tradition. You see I met my wife at a Halloween Party. She was dressed as a nun, so I stole the costume when we got together and I've been wearing it ever since.

Every once in a while, I get the hankering for a new Halloween Costume. Since my nickname is "Harvey," I've always wanted to get a Giant Bunny Costume. I could also use it at Easter.

I've always wanted a Gorilla Costume too. I'd wear that around all the time, just to mess with people!

There are some dopey costumes out there too. Pirate costumes are the dorkiest. All you need is a Bandanna, some ratty clothes and an eye patch to be a good pirate-you don't need to drop a hundred bucks on a costume! Plus I think pirates are a cop out at Halloween.

Costume Cauldron has over 14,000 Halloween Costumes in stock and they have just about anything you could want, even this one in case you want to "Pimp Yo Style" on Halloween!

And to think I called the Pirate Costumes Dorky!

If you want to get Halloween Costumes at the Costume Cauldron, you can save a few bucks by getting into the sight through a "Secret Haunted House" Backdoor:

Go to the Costume Cauldron homepage. Halfway down and click on the comma in the line that reads “Our Store now has over 14,000 masquerade items for you to choose from!”

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!
