GCSE Coursework

In England, 14-16 year-olds take courses to qualify for the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE). Students complete GCSE coursework that includes, research, dissertations, book reports or essays.

Students can actually purchase papers online that satisfy GCSE coursework requirements. While "term paper sites" state no papers purchased should be represented as the student's own work and should be used as a reference tool only, one has to suspect the availability of custom written papers carries with it the spectre of academic dishonesty.

If a kid is expected to complete their GCSE coursework on their own, I feel such papers can be a temptation. As a reference tool I don't have a problem with the practice. If a kid passes in a purchased paper to satisfy their GCSE coursework requirements, then it is cheating.
