I have been fielding complaints from parents of Little Leaguers about a variety of subjects over the past few weeks. People complain about the rules, playing time for their kids, coach behavior, parent behavior, player behavior, field conditions-you name it, they complain about it! I have always tried to respond to people's complaints fairly and even handedly. My newest strategy is to fire back a copy of the following passage. The discussion and complaints usually end with this:
Matthew 7: 1,2
"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you."

You're a trouper! Parents are unbelievable. I never saw the dark side of some of the locals until their kid missed a goal or, oops, daydreamed on the field.
The best part of a game is watching a team work together because each player is really with the other. So many parents can't let go of their kid to see it isn't about their instructions but the interaction of a child with is or her peers.
Spring training inspired me to create this video blessing. Just wanted to share it with you. Hang in there!

Oh, boy, soccer (or any sports) parents are the worst. They forget that they are doing this for the children and not themselves.
I could go on and on, but I will not. That will be my blessing to you. LOL
