Green Christmas Meme

Kuanyin has done it again and tagged me with the Green Christmas meme on her Art of Living and Dying blog. Gawd, it's too early for Christmas! Anyhoo, here goes:

What is your favorite Christmas gift?
Socks. Every year I need new socks. My kids all get me socks every year and I just love it! One other thing I'd like is a World Series Championship from the Red Sox!

What is your best memory of Christmas?
Waking up on Christmas morning as a child and the wild anticipation of what awaited downstairs.

Depending upon where you live do you have a hot or cold Christmas?
Usually cold as I live in Massachusetts, though last year it was in the mid 5o's if I recall...

Would you prefer to try the opposite weather at least just once?
I have spent several Christmases in Florida. Warm is good!

What do you prefer in a tree? Fake or real?
I was always a real tree type of guy. Our first Christmas in our current home we got a 16 foot tree since we have a cathedral ceiling. It fell on our youngest one Saturday morning! When it came time to take the tree down, I needed a saw to cut it up to take it out of the house. Last year we had a fake tree from my mother and father in law's house that they left with us when they moved. I must say the ease of set up and breakdown was nice as was the lack of pine needles all over the house. I missed the smell, so we got some pine air freshener. We'll be sticking with fake again this year.

What is your favorite Carol?
Handel's Messiah.

What is your favorite Christmas dinner?
Turducken, which is a chicken stuffed into a duck stuffed into a turkey. We are having it this year. YUM.

Do you wear a Santa hat at Christmas?
Yes. And if I get lucky Christmas eve not much else!

Have you ever seen Santa delivering gifts?
I am Santa!
