Stockbrokers need to pass what is called a Series 7 exam before they can be stockbrokers. I took this test right out of college many years ago so I could have something to fall back on. I never fell back on it!
As with many professional licensing study courses, there are websites that help you study for the Series 7 exam online. The Empire Stockbroker Training Institute is one such site. They offer all sorts of study materials for the Series 7 exam. You can get study books or sign up for online study materials for the same money you'd spend on a study book at the bookstore. They even have a "Question of the Day" feature which provides a daily check of what you know (or don't know) about Series 7 exam questions.
