Wealth Expo 2007

I like money. Most people do. I also like to make MORE MONEY wherever and whenever I can. The old saying "it takes money to make money" is partly true. If you have money, you can make money with it by investing wisely. That's what Wealth Expo is all about, making money with money.

Next weekend in New York City from Oct 19-Oct 21, 2007, at the Javits Convention Center, Wealth Expo will take place at the following times:

Friday, 10/19: 1 p.m.-6:30 p.m. EDT w/ a cocktail hour to follow

Saturday, 10/20: 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m. EDT w/ a cocktail hour to follow

Sunday, 10/21: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. EDT (no cocktail hour)

Basically, there are a bunch of lectures and "breakout sessions" presented by companies that offer advice and insight into investing and growing wealth. The first lecture session, being presented by Proctor & Gamble, is called “Designed to Grow.”

Note to would be investors: Have Proctor & Gamble stock in your portfolio. The company almost always pays dividends and the value of the stock has grown at a greater than 10% clip since the company went public over 100 years ago. Past performance may not be an example of future results, but as my former father in law (who worked for P&G's paper division) was fond of saying, "in good times and bad, you still have to wipe your ass!" The company just keeps growing and getting more profitable every year. BUY P&G! Listen to what their people say about good growth companies. You'll be glad you did.

The first "breakout" session, presented by Best Choice Software, Inc., is called “Making Money in the Markets Is Not That Difficult- We Will Show You How.” Without even going to that session, I can give you a sure fire tip (see the preceding paragraph). Seriously though, the more you can educate yourself about investing the better. This session would be helpful to many investors, particularly beginning investors. Knowing the mechanics of the market is important as is money management and a sound strategy. This session promises to be a good introduction to these concepts.

Wealth Expo is free to attend and is sponsored by MyWallSt.net: Your Financial Social Network. The entire weekend is chock full of informative lectures and breakout sessions that will leave any attendee more informed about their investments. If you're going to be in New York next weekend, it's definitely worth attending.

I wonder if any of the Yankees will be there? They're free....
