Master Chef is coming to Boston for theirr third season of casting! In case you're not familiar with the show, it's the Gordon Ramsay cooking show that looks for the top "home chef" in America. That means that anyone 18 years and older who has a love for food (and doesn't cook professionally for a living) is eligible. The show offers people of all ages and walks of life a second chance - for those who have a passion for cooking, but never pursued it professionally for whatever reason, they now have the opportunity to win a huge cash prize and learn from the best in the industry - including chef Gordon Ramsay himself.
This is a truly incredible opportunity for anyone who loves food, and they had a lot of luck last year finding amazing contestants in Boston.

Greenway Mobile Foodfest Cancelled until Spring
The Greenway Mobile Food Fest, which was planned for Saturday, October 15, has been postponed until the Spring. We will work with the participating vendors and collaborate with them on selecting a date for early 2012.
Saturday’s event was to include 12 mobile food vendors, many of them in large trucks. It was to take place on Dewey Square, the only parcel large enough to accommodate this type of gathering.
The decision is based on the fact the attendees we’re anticipating for the Greenway Mobile Food Fest, when combined with the Occupy Boston encampment on Dewey Square, would simply be too crowded to be considered safe for the public.
Yesterday, activists complied with the smooth load-in and load-out of the Boston Public Market, a successful farmer’s market on Dewey Square, but the scale of Saturday’s event is much, much bigger.
While this half acre of the Greenway is in full-time use by Occupy Boston, the remaining 15.5 acres of the Greenway remain open, beautiful and welcoming to all. We encourage visitors and residents alike to explore the Rings Fountain, the Carousel, the Harbor Islands Pavilion, and our water features and public art.
Greenway Mobile Food Fest
Info: Free Admission. Rosekennedygreenway.org. (617-292-0020) MBTA: Red Line to South Station.
Sample Boston’s best street food! More than a dozen food trucks gather on the Greenway to celebrate the tastes of the fall harvest. Picnic in the park, and watch as local VIPS and well-known chefs judge each truck’s special pumpkin-themed dish!
Participating food vendors (as of 9/23) include: Kick*ss Cupcakes, Clover Food Lab, Roxy’s Grilled Cheese, BBQ Smith, Bon Me, Lefty’s Silver Cart, Staff Meal, Mobile Home, Grilled Cheese Nation, The Dining Car, Equal Exchange Free Range Cafe, Boston Frosty, Ben & Jerry’s, Boston Speeds, and Spoon Truck.
