The Hotdogman has returned from sunny Florida with lots of good stuff! As usual, whenever I travel, I try to seek out new hot dog joints, whether it’s a cart, trailer, truck, or brick and mortar joint. I also like to check up on old friends.
This latest trip was no exception. I managed to tour Dream Makers Hot Dog Carts, visit one of Kurt Horlacher’s 4 carts in St. Petersburg, check up on Mad Dogs Hot Dogs in Venice and their second location, chill out at Bobby’s Beach Bistro in Venice, and discover Luke’s Detroit Coney Island in St. Petersburg with the Nardo boys- the guys who got funded on The Shark Tank for their line of organic skin care products, nardo’s Naturals.
It was a fun filled and delicious tour of a slice of the Floridian hot dog world and I shot a crapload of video. I will be posting individual stories as I complete them and I’ll have posts and photos here on the Hot Dog Truck as well.
